Monet: The Father of Impressionism

it is in I883 that Claude Monet falls under the charme of the little village of Giverny
He rents a house sourrounded by a 96 acer garden
In I890 he gets the opportunity to enlarge his garden adding a little lake
where the famous Nyphéas grow.
When in I966, his son, Michel Monet dies
he transmits the property and the paintings to the french Academie des Beaux-Arts.
The institute keeps up the garden that can be visited by the public since I980
