Cybercafe de Paris has a history
and has grown little by little from a place with one 2nd hand computer
to what is it today,
one of the trendiest places in Paris
and the home of the

	in fact Cybercafe de Paris exists since I987 and was already know as one of the famous Electrica for Sony Boutiques
	certain people had decided that our Boutiques should die.... and we were trying to survive this is the story of the Café:

during the 70ies and 80ies Cybercafé de Paris was closed heavy renovation costs scared people away
I986 an interior Designer Jean Letessier discovered it and made it the show room for MODERATO, 'James Bond film' robotic furniture important renovation work took place what a surprise behind the ceramic tails of the Cremerie hide beautiful Stone Walls of old old times		at the same time was born on II rue des IIaIIes as tiny little Boutique Electrica for Sony
Moderato's furniture is too expensive and doesn't sell enough aother furntiture store Profiligne never ending construction of the Meteor subway line I99I - I997 right on our street make buisness a little difficult for everybody	views on Cybercafe de Paris in I993 due to construction of the Meteor subway line nobody wanted it	the one and only even though very little Electrica for Sony Boutique becomes extremly famous and with help of Deutsche Bank buys in I993 I5 rue des Halles
summer I994 Boutiques open II am - II pm	Cybercafe in I994 as Electrica for Sony Video Boutique the Boutique is immediately full of customers and something creats an increadible ambiance that makes all kinds of Video people just love to come	even though certain people launch competing Espaces .... Sony Lovers from everywhere ... Lady Di shopping in Paris comes many times and we had become her 'Doctor' for electronics
	but very soon people need to wait forever and little by little the famous Electrica for Sony Boutiques start to die
Boutiques open Ipm - 7pm		a mirakle keeps the half dead Boutique alive part of the mirakle is that certain people are scared an unusual Lady might buy us
the area/rue de Rivoli becoming chic with Louis Vuitton Headquater (I50m away) and H&M (20 m away) mooving in
Meteor subway line opens after 7 years of construction and what a surprise an elevator directly connecting us to the RER and 5 Metro lines	I997	facing my Telecom office becomes our main business just a table a phone and a fax
what a spectecular location for a Sony Boutique and Repair center clients do not understand that the Boutiques are always completly empty ... what to do ?	Cybercafé ???
		february I999 with pratically no money we set up two 2nd handcomputers ( in fact only one is working the second one just for decoration the 'Cybercafé' looks poor and terribly empty)
	march I999 - june I999 one charming Lady comes every saturday afternoon ... the Internet corner doesn't work Cyberaccess open I pm - 9 pm
didn't we initially start with a spectecular name Electrica for Sony, becoming rue Sony PARIS we need a new name a name that certain people cannot take away from us...
Aug I I999 grandmothers turning 85 in a restaurant in the Swiss mountains ... menue shows Rösties, Züricher Geschnetzeltes....and steack façon 'Cafe de Paris'
	Cafe de Paris ..... Cafe de Paris ..... isn't this part of French culture like Hotel de la Plage ? Cafe de Paris in Monaco ... Café de Paris in London ... and Cybercafe de Paris in Paris ????	Aug 4 I999 right from the train station to the INPI trade mark office various Cafe de Paris trademarks for food, drinks, restauration even cigarets but none for Telecommunications or Internet and the most important certain people have no rights on the name
I999 - the last Sony window pratically nothing was working but we had to put something	a 3rd, a 4th computer almost every week a new computer	a miracle starts to happen little by little Cyberpeople start to arrive .... Cybercafe open I pm - 9pm exept Sundays
Jan I 2000 while thinking about Brigitte's Phonebook Cybercafe opens on a holiday and the next day Cybercafe opens again on a Sunday more spectecular names
spring 2000 last attempt to find a solution with Sony.... they don't even answer	computers moove in	Feb 2000 NEWSWEEK notices Cybercafe de Paris trendy crowd but place needs fixing up the journalist John Andrews asks but why the hell do you keep Sony?
March 2000 Cybercafe now open every day until II pm with Dann arriving from Israel	week by week month by month fixing up the Café	enlarge
May 2000 Sony repair center reduces to half to enlarge the Cybercafé June 2000 Cybercafe now open until I2 pm more spectecular names Aug 2000 LE FIGARO votes Cybercafe de Paris best Cybercafe in Paris	the orange Sony flags left to be repalced by	Sep 2000 we throw Sony out (Sorry old Sony customers ! there was no solution to find to buy product may we direct you to Concurrence, I9 place de la Madeleine just two Metero metro stops away for repair service - no advice ????...) Cybercafe de Paris now open until 2am with Hamish arriving from UK
Oct 2000 someone wants to inject 250 computers to squeeze out every inch we refuse Cybercafe de Paris should always stay PARIS and not become une usine ... Nov 2000 ELLE Cybercafé de Paris très branché	new Phonebook of the World signs enlarge picture
	Dec 2000 Cybercafé de Paris now opening already at 7 am and introduces new frequent user day rate I0F/h TIME OUT Cybercafe de Paris clients are no battery henns ! and it's not even expensive !
