Filette au Jardin, La Pergola
around I9I2
during the first World
War Anna Boch couldn't travel
so she stayed mostly in this Garden in Ohain
I5 km south of Bruxelles-Aixelles
in the region of Barban Vallon/Belgium
the garden became for Anna Boch
what Giverny
was for Claude Monet
and it seams that
contrary to her Bruxelles
house
the garden still exists
might it be protected from real estate promoters

and this is a Photograph
of Ida van Haelewijn,
the little girl was the daughter of the Gardener and also Anna Boch's godchild
so she became the object for numerous peintings ....
.... and as a little Thank you
Anna Boch decided in her will
to leave Ida all the pieces where she was peinted

this
peinting was the cover
of the expo @ Musée Royal de Mariemont/Belgium

Dr
Therese Thomas that is presently
preparing a book on Anna Boch
knew Ida van Haelewijn
and made sure
that such little photos didn't get lost
so that many many many years
and for generations later ....
we can publish them
........ in the Phonebook of the World
